Prioritize and Execute in SEO: Keyword Ranking Report

We were so focused on creating a report that helps you land and retain customers, we almost overlooked this bonus use.  More than a customer presentation tool, the upcoming Keyword Ranking report can help you execute, too.

It answers the questions: what are the biggest opportunities in this set of keywords?  Where should I focus my attention first and foremost?

By focusing on selected keywords in a group, you get rid of any distractions from outlier terms that would have distorted your view of what’s most important.

Video Transcript:

The hardest part about like starting an SEO campaign, the most time consuming aspect is creating a content plan.

We actually just hired our– hired a guy to, like, do just pure SEO, you know, like first time, like– In six years.

We should have probably done it earlier.

When I hired this guy and brought him on, I’m like, let’s set down a path.

And I’m trying to figure out exactly how I’m going to use recon files, the SEO dashboard to execute on our SEO agenda.

And SpyFu is like this huge site, 150 million pages, and we rank on so many things.

We’re talking SEO reports, keyword tool, that type of– Right.

–that type of stuff is the direction that we want to focus.

We have a lot of things on like people searching for domain names.

Walmart versus Target is actually a keyword we rank on that type of thing.

So as I’m trying to do that, as I’m trying to execute this, I’m like– You realized you need– What I want here is a different report.

Sure, you realized you– What I wanted to be able to do was put in the keywords that I care about.

And I’m like, OK, I got a million of them.

Why didn’t he let a dashboard report do this.

Dude, they pushed me over the edge to some degree.

Because I don’t have anyone to sell it to.

Like, it’s not I’m selling the SEO campaign.

I just basically want to take it and have it tell me what are the biggest opportunities within this group, which one should I optimize for.

And this report will show me in order which ones to execute on.

It groups them.

It’s real simple to translate our keyword group page into a list of articles for you to execute on.

And so I can see not just which keywords I should be optimizing for, but like what’s the biggest group, like what’s the most, which group has the most opportunity.

Is it the– you know, because we have a whole bunch of keywords around selling SEO.

Is that the best place for us to execute.

Or is it PPC stuff.

What’s the biggest opportunity.

Based on our rankings currently, what can we achieve the most in.

It’s not just a sales document.

It also helps you execute.

You get instant results.

You put in your keywords, you get the positions.

I mean, I guarantee that we are using it to execute, which I wouldn’t have said ever for the SEO dashboard, I wouldn’t have thought we were going to start executing on that.

Because we show the keyword groups you should execute on.

We show what they’re worth.

And we rank them.

I mean, you can rank them right there, and decide which ones are most important, you can put in your own keywords, and actually get that specifically.

So it’s– Weird.

Weird because our mission is to help you sell SEO services, not to help you execute per se.

But what I’m talking about here, in terms of figuring out what the best keywords to execute on, best keyword silos to execute on this month, shit works.
